What have we gotten in ILE in the past 3 years? Asking more out of
ignorance than anything, but I am scratching my head as to significant
changes or any changes for that matter. Not that ILE necessarily needs
changes and it would more be important to have RPG language enhancements
speed up.

When did IBM mgmt lose confidence in the ability of its own employees to
write great software?

The System i5 IBM sector lost confidence when Java was introduced IMO.
Going from a solid intimately integrated environment to a willy nilly tweak
till you die environment.

IBMers had done a good job creating ILE. But mgmt for some reason
halted any followup improvements.
Who said IBM halted ILE improvements?

check out the commenters. They love IBM. Me, I notice the IBMer does not
mention any software that IBM is creating itself. It is all about
searching
for what others have done, making it enterprise strength, and I guess
selling it with an IBM label on it.
