RE: Unsupported devices on V5R4

We have an SLR50 drive in a dev/test 270, with 6718 disks, running at
V5R4. Works fine.

I have a 270 currently on V5R3 that I'd like to bring up to V5R4.

According to IBM (its website) it has two unsupported device types:

- 6x 6718 17GB disks
- 1x 6386 50GB quarter inch tape drive

Despite this, some people on this list reportedly have V5R4 running
successfully on type 6718 disks.

Would anybody have any good or bad experiences with the 6386 tape drive
on V5R4? Care to share?
