On the WINDOW keyword, reference the record format containing the window definitin.
The system will know to put it inside the window format.
You must write the window record before you write any associated records.

In your footer record, include the WINDOW keyword, referencing the WIDOW
record.
This will allow you to place the footer record in the window with your
subfile.

Would someone mind telling me how I can add a footer record to a windowed
subfile? I have messed with this thing all night last night and cannot seem
to get the footer record to display correctly.



In the DDS I have a windowed subfile defined, a windowed ctl record, and a
second window (acting as the footer record). I have the overlay turned on
the CTL record, and at first it will display but then the footer record goes
away...
