The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We are using Vanguard IMS/21. Easy to use but can be a bit troublesome
to admin. There are times it is rather slow as well. There updates are
slowing down, haven't one this year at all. Also the iSeries thinks it
is connected to the PC after the PC was shut down without disconnecting.
No keep alive probe to close the connections.
For the money, they could have done better. Perhaps they are monitoring
this list and I just lit a fire.

My boss would like us to look into our first "imaging" application.
As the starter project, he would like Purchase Requisitions/Purchase
Orders, and the related Packing Slips and Invoices all scanned in,
Indexed, filed, and available for RECALL and Drill Down.
I'm sure the software is the key productivity point here (whether home
grown or purchased), and I'm wondering what some of your good (and bad )
experiences have been in this area?
