Like Larry said. Go to Batteries Plus. In my case the cache battery for our 270 had a three lead connector, unlike the batteries for a cordless phone, so they built one in about 5 minutes. So, shutting down the system and walking the battery down to the store is a good idea. I have also gone to a local battery store and they have built me one as well.
$14.39 if I recall correctly.....

For that card you can go to Batteries Plus and pick one up off the rack. It's simply a three cell NiCd battery for the handset of many cordless phones. Bring the battery along though because they make them with the + and - terminals both ways and you'd hate to get it wrong!

Mucho Cheapo!

Hello all,
Does anyone know of any cheap alternatives for a cache-battery for a Model 170
with a 2740 Raid Card ?

Ours just went to degraded status and if I can find a cheap alternative to the IBM option that would be great.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
