I would think a more fully automated system would be an actual mail
receiver on the i5. Send it the email, it receives it, strips off the
attachment and using Scott Klement's guidelines, read the Excel from RPG
or some such thing and post it directly to the database. I believe I've
heard of some listers doing this.
So the two or three tricky parts is configuring the email receiver,
stripping off the attachment and using the APIs.
