subject: Re: RF Scanners

The actual text on the screen fits in
the part of the screen that's displayed on the scanner so the user
doesn't have to worry about scrolling around to see the whole thing.

I don't know whether you're able to modify your BPCS to do the same
thing?

There are third party proxy packages that can map larger application
screens, even parts of different displays into smaller handheld screens,
so you can create a simple, intelligable workflow for the handhelds and
the proxy server uses that to drive the original application. I know
that Intermec RF Controllers provide such a function (at additional cost
of course) and I turned up others while investigating the idea years
ago, but I can't remember any particulars.

Of course, in the end we just wrote custom bits, with smaller screens,
for handheld use.
