A quick perusal of the site leads me to believe that the XML installer is a
big XML file that includes (among other things) the source for a program to
extract the other components from the XML file.

The instructions walk you through uploading that XML file into a source
member, then pulling out the source for the extractor, then compiling that
source, then calling that newly created program to extract the other pieces.

I haven't actually used this particular tool, but typically Scott's tools
normally work quite well and I wouldn't expect any different from this one.

I've visited the HTTPAPI site, but I'm a bit confused. I
see three different ways to install it on our systems, but
I don't entirely get this "XML installer," or how it would
install to V4R4, when the raw save file requires V5.

Nor do I see any documentation on how to use it. Is that
installed with the downloads?
