Expanding the System Drive is not possible with standard Windows tools.

There is a variety of third party tools that can do this, from Acronis
to Symantec to some Open Source utilities. But this is not supported by
Microsoft.

The System Drive can be pretty small, you usually don't need more than
10GB for it. Move your Data to other drives.

Subject: RE: Expand (system) server storage space

I did this last night from home (pcAnywhere and VPNs are great) and
everything went without a hitch -EXCEPT- the Diskpart utility says that
drive cannot be extended. No reason given. I moved the paging file to
another drive, that wasn't it. I tried Paragon Partition Manager, but
the
version I have won't work on Windows server versions. If I look in Disk
Management, I see the empty space right behind the drive I want to add
it
to.
