For the client side there is now difference.
They will just connect, send the stuff and get a responce.
They will do execatly the same independent of what is on the server.

Conceptually, yes. Implementation, no. If it's a web-server the client
will use something like xmlhttprequest to get the data. If it's a custom
server then the client needs to do a bunch of socket stuff -- unless, of
course, the custom server is a custom written web server. <G>
