Sharon,

I used similar UPS's with mine back when I had it...since upgraded to 270.

My 170 also had the sidecar attached and required 2 110vac sources, and I
had a UPS for each leg.

Dave,

I can't tell you the specifics but, my 170 is on an APC 1500va. I lose
power quite a bit since I am rural. The APC runs my 170, the 3477 console
and my old IBM X-Pro file server.
It lasts between 20 and 30 mins. More than enough to shut it down. I have
had to replace the batteries for it. I use my local battery guy and get
generics.

Set confusion *ON.

I'm looking for someone to change my confusion flag....

We have a 170 with a UPS that's gone bad. We can't get replacement
batteries for it, so we have to get a different UPS.

Last time I attempted to get the power requirements for a system, it was
like going down a rabbit hole (or whole,) that ended up having more
turns and twist than I could examine.

So, would someone please "Set confusion *OFF" and tell me where to find
the power requirements for a basic 170 so I can tell the guys asking me?

Thank you for your patience and consideration,

Dave
