I, too, have longed for a UDA - it is not in WDSC or CODE, I assure you. My
impression of EGL from a lab reminded me of some of the things in UIM panel
groups - data elements, records, etc., that get laid out according to some
standard rules (CUA comes to mind). I like the idea of panel groups, and most
IBM screens are panel groups. It turns out that PDM uses display files -
someone at this recent COMMON told me that - was it you? Senility settles in
after getting home.

Doug,

I've asked this question, too, and even (horrors) pulled out the UIM
manual. There doesn't appear to be any support for multi-column UIM
menus. IBM menus are UIM (such as CMDCMD), and I have never come across
a multi-column menu in the IBM repertoire.

What I would like to see (but never expect after this long) is a STRSDA
equivalent for UIM. If there's such a function in WDSc or Code, I've
completely missed it.

By default its just one column that the user can scroll through, whereas I
am looking to create a two column menu...similar to what I could do with
the
old system/36 menus.
