I would like to see that document also if you post it somewhere. I use OO
simple because I don't have a license for MS Office on both machines I use
(laptop and desktop). It is growing on me, but MS Office is still more
comfortable and predictable.

Small tip for Open Office: I use it a lot to relay RPG/.NET/XML source code
examples to potential clients. Simply open Open Office Writer and paste
color coded RPG source from WDSC and then select the "create PDF button".
Instead of actually creating a PDF select the XHTML dropdown option which
creates a single web page (no page breaks like a PDF would have and
inherently breaking up the RPG code).

Here's an example: http://rpg-xml.com/downloads/calcprice_example.html

It's also what I am starting to use for the www.mowyourlawn.com examples.

Know what would be cool is if somebody would create a source code
crawler/documenter for RPG and as part of the crawling it would call the
Open Office engine to produce an HTML representation of the code and place
it back on the iSeries so when you view the code it would be color coded.

Anyways...

Pete,

as I'm not going to attend COMMON (I'm from Europe), is there any way to get
an electronic copy or transcript of your presentation?

I'm very interested, as I prefer OO to MSOffice.

Thanks,
