Unbelievable.

$800 a quarter for SWMA. PLUS, since it evidently went off maintenance in
August of last year (although nobody told me), they want to charge me an
additional $3000 to get back on maintenance.

I guess this machine is a V5R1 machine until it dies. I'll fix the disk
drive, and maybe I'll rent it out for low-cost programming.

My little 270 just threw another drive. I've been paying maintenance
forever. Now I find that it just went off maintenance at the end of March
and nobody bothered to tell me.

Luckily hardware maintenance is no problem; they're letting me pay my
normal
quarterly rate of about $500. But I'm worried that I won't be able to get
V5R4 for this machine now.
