One of the more obscure things to know on the box.

Most of my customers don't have a clue as to how to
turn off the box, manual or normal commands.

I also found a new one when poking around Infocenter
called "fast power down" but you "must" be in manual
to use it. This is function 08 selected twice and boom.

One thing that comes in handy on a few occasions is
the Hardware Infocenter. I have never been a fan of the
Infocenters but you can install the Hardware Infocenter
on a pc and it comes in very handy for various obscure
items. I have become a fan after getting stuck with no
manuals and really needing to know something in a hurry.

Consider installing it with your new box. It comes in one
of the many cdroms and takes forever to install but it is
well worth it.

They even ship videos of "how to do it" with the cdrom.
They are short but very informative.

Thanks Pat .... I noodled with it some more yesterday when I didn't get any
answers to my post due to delays. I found that once the "11-3" was displayed,
I could press the power on button. At that point, a ? was displayed and
pressing the magic white button one more time did the trick.

Although, I did think about the power cord option.
