Cross-posted to Midrange-L so discussion can continue there if the OP
doesn't want to use FTPAPI ...

Getting stuck........

Connecting to a customer's FTP site.

Change the current directory to their outgoing directory.

In this directory there are several (all different named) orders that I
need to get.

I do an MGET *.CSV and when I do this it puts it to my local working
directory which is at the moment IPGCFF4. I want to be able to do a LCD
and get them into the AS400 hard drive. I have a folder there that can
hold these orders, from there I can do a QSH to concatenate them all to
one file and then CPYFRMIMPF to bring them over. But I just can't seem
to get them off my customer's directory and onto the AS400.

It sounds to me as though you are using an FTP application on your Windows
PC. Is this correct?

If so, you (or your network admin) can set up the target directory on th
AS/400 as a "shared folder", then from "My Computer" you can "Map a
Network Drive" (say as drive Z:). Then, during your FTP session, you
could do 'LCD Z:\', and then do your MGET.

Alternatively, if you are an RPG programmer (which seems a reasonable
guess since you are posting to this list), you can use the suggested
FTPAPI service program from www.scottklement.com to write an RPG program
to do all of this for you.

Yet another way is to use the built in FTP client in OS/400.

HTH,
Adam
