I have used GO CMDREF to an *OUTFILE then done a query on the results. This only gets cases where there is hard coding, like this program access that file. Soft coding is when the program or file to be touched is assembled at execution time. This approach not get that. You need to specify which libraries programs to include. Other posters confirm you have to use something else for queries/400.

DSPDBR gets what logicals, that currently exist, point at a physical, not anything built on the fly.

Sorry, me been swamped, way behind in reviewing some threads.

Hello everyone,

Is there a Command I can run, or a system file I can query, that will show
me all of the objects on my system that reference a particular file?

We are at V4R5.

Thanx,

Nick
