Yes the Memory requires downtime and a processor change also would of course. With i5 though you can add pretty much everything else on the fly, including loops, cabinets to loops, cards to cabinets, drives to cabinets etc etc without ever taking the system down. Even on FrankieIII (a 270) I add and remove drives and cards all the time with the system up. Don't tell Job Paris I'm doing that while he's on the system though, it might make him nervous. :-)
