as of V5R4 PHP and Java are PASE products. V5R5 is the last i5/OS
release that will support native mode Java. What about DB2? Can a
PASE application already access a native DB2 table as efficiently as a
native RPG program or SQL procedure?

If Java was moved to PASE so IBM could standardize on one JVM ( the
JVM for AIX ) then isnt the logical next step to make AIX DB2 the
database engine of i5/OS?
