Jim,

First I would tell him to make sure that SMTP logging is turned on. This
should allow him to see any attempts by the AS/400 to contact the Exchange
server. If he does not see any communication from the AS/400 to the server
then I would check that the JAVA installation is working correctly.

If you type QSH from the command line and then type java you should see a
list of the parameters that java uses. If you don't then that might
indicate a problem with the java install. IBM provided the following
command which helped one of our customers to fix their java issue:

CALL PGM(QSYSDIR/QJVAEXT3) PARM('*RSTCODE' '*AFTER')

Regards,

John Boyce

What can I tell the admin of an Exchange Server so that
email sent from iSeries (via Aaron's RPGMAIL) will be accepted?
iseries pgm has no errors & appears sent ok.
Can telnet to the server from iSeries, port 25 & looks ok.
I am assuming he needs to allow the relay from the iSeries,
but so far he is not "getting it".
