One thing I think we lack on the midrange.com site is an events type page where user groups and conferences like the new systemideveloper.com can post their events. A single place to go and get the most current event list would rock.
There are already some of those available. COMMON has one here: http://www.common.org/conferences/future.html System iPortal has one here: http://www.systemiportal.com/events/list.phpBut, of course, if the user groups don't announce their events to these sites, then they may not show up.
Personally, I think it would be better to have ONE site for this rather than many. This makes it easier for people to announce their events since they don't have to keep up on where to announce them. It also makes it easier for the event-goer, since there's a "one stop shop".
