Subject: Client Access API question
Can somebody please point me in the direction of something
that can help me understand what's going on? I'd like to
be able to implement a similar capability in our own
emulation products.

I have done some similar work in Delphi (my preferred PC development tool). You will need to check out the documentation for the Host Access Class Library. Most of the documentation refers to C++ or Java, but it is fairly easy to use that as a guideline for developing in your own software's language.

Also, make sure you installed the Programmer's Toolkit during your iSeries Access install. The help file there will point you to a variety of example programs.

Good luck!
