I need to execute an ISeries program (CL or RPG) or command from within an
Integration Services package within SQL Server 2005. I need to initiate it
from within a MS SQL Server SSIS package.

I know how to call an ISeries program in a .bat file using ISeries Access, or
within a Java program. Therefore I assume I could also call a local
application to initiate the call, but would prefer to call directly to the
ISeries. I don't know how to call either one though from within SSIS.

Has anyone done this before, and could help point the way for me? I'm new to
MS SQL Server. My PC is running XP Pro, and my ISeries is v5r2.

  Thank you,

  Don McIntyre
