for the new VnRn. If no license is found, a demo license is
created. Its kind of hard to test this on a single development
machine because once I install the product, it seems to remember the
license, even after removing the licensed program.

So you're unaware of the RMVLICKEY command?

I would like to be able to remove all license info so I could better
test the "original" install of the product. But if I could do this,
I would probably have to change to the grace period and get/release
license process.

RMVLICKEY PRDID( whatever ) SERIAL(*REMOTE)

will probably do it.

NOTE: I haven't actually used RMVLICKEY for either of these purposes but my expectation is that removing your product, removing the licence key, then reinstalling your product, will give another 30 days use.

Your only current 'protection' is that RMVLICKEY is *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE but then what authority does the user performing the install have?

Simon Coulter.
