When multiple spoolfiles are held on an outq we use a "6" to release

What if we want to change an attribute using the command line and then
release them. You end up entering a bunch of "2"s and then Duplex(*yes)
on the command line then you have to go back and enter a bunch of "6"s.

Is there any way to enter something like Duplex(*yes) Release(*yes) on
the command line?

Hi Greg

I see you've already got the job done, but for future reference you
could try CHGOUTQSPL -
http://www.dbg400.net/cgi-bin/twiki/view/DBG400/ChgOutQSpl which I've
just put on my site . It runs a CHGSPLFA for each selected spooled
file. I wrote it last year for our Ops team to change number of copies
over selected files without having to page down dozens of times
putting in '2's. There is a companion utility ACTOUTQ -
http://www.dbg400.net/cgi-bin/twiki/view/DBG400/ActOutQ which runs
either HLDSPLF, RLSSPLF, DLTSPLF or CHGSPLFA SAVE(*YES) for selected
files.
