Wait a minute Neil!

I did read the 9 page pdf too, and I think the explanations are pretty good. In fact, the degreed marketing gurus are letting us in on a little glimpse of their magic tricks.

"Viral marketing" works. One example, sputtering as it was, remember a short while back when we shared the laughing boardroom links and the link at IBM with the personal stories about the little AS/400's "that could"?

IBM has four different server lines to promote, and that's only half their business! (Or is it that much?). They've got patents out the wazoo, and lots of things going on.

So it's up to us. So somebody's leveraging it and helping us learn how to be i-evangelists.

I don't know what happened at Atari, but instead of pulling a name out of a hat, they paid somebody $20,000 to come up with one for them. What's in an idea, a slogan? I bet almost everybody in this discussion could tell me what Duracell's slogan was/is, and it still bounces around in your head whenever you think of a long-lasting device.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing...Keeps going and going....

"i can't believe i handle a thousand users with just six programmers and six admins"
"i want control..."
"i want an i..."

:)
