Yes...there's a fair amount of cleanup that takes place during an IPL.
However, the stuff that gets cleaned up doesn't really grow forever (unless
something's wrong), so you don't need to IPL to clean up too often. I think
a lot of shops IPL quarterly or so when they're applying PTFs.
