temporarily de-mount QOPT from IFS? -- MIDRANGE-L

Hello,
I have a 3995 optical library attached to the system which I want to run a 
RTVDIRINF on, but 2 days are not enough to finish. Just wondering if I can 
temporarily de-mount QOPT from IFS. (Let's say that no user wanna use the 
opticals while this disk collection is running.)
Any suggestions highly appreciated.
