Good morning,

I recently found out from iSeries Navigator if I generate SQL on a view
that I created using long names, the generated sql shows me the short
names.

For example:

Create View Schema.LongViewNameHere AS
SELECT A,B,C,D From Schema.LongTableName1

Retrieve the source on that view and it shows

Create View Schema.LongViewNameHere AS
SELECT A,B,C,D From Schema.LongT00001

It keeps the long view name but uses the short names on the selection
which can be a pain on a complicated view.

Is there anything I can do so it will generate the long names?
