I can understand a 2 at upgrade time. But if I normally have the big
honking jobs (like 11 Domino servers) then I probably want a 3 instead of
a 2 right? And not get an additional adjustment at IPL time? Therefore
use 3 normally and 2 only at upgrade time?

Thanks for the amount, and interval, of adjustment being the same between
2 and 3.

Like '2', '3' cycles for active jobs pools 15 seconds. '2' causes the
static IPL adjustment, which you really want if you just did an upgrade.

I think the "good support" people at IBM have the week off. I opened a
sev 1 domino issue and got call back only. This person I got says I
should be using QPFRADJ option 3 instead of 2. And, he swears that it
does adjust at IPL time still. Judging by his accent perhaps his reading
comprehension of the help has issues also.

Does option 3 adjust more timely?
Does option 3 adjust at IPL time?
Is it not a good thing to adjust at IPL time? I can imagine that if you
do not want to automatically adjust at IPL time because that major
application isn't using up the resources yet therefore an adjustment at
IPL time would just give resources to dead stuff and then be choked when
the major application kicks in (like Domino).
