I misunderstood the question:

"How can I increase the performance of WAS so an application running
thereunder will perform as good or better than its Windoz counterpart?"

I took this to mean WAS running on the iSeries as opposed to WAS running on
Windows. Since that's not the case, I have no clue what you mean by "Windoz
counterpart". Since you're comparing apples to oranges, it's even more
difficult to make suggestions.

Joe,

Not sure how what you offered answered my question. Perhaps I was
unclear.
