We have a two lpar 520.
We've moved on lpar off to our 570. Basically an unload/reload.
The other lpar is having it's one application moved from it to an existing
lpar on the 570.
Plan on deleting both lpars on the 520. Move several cards and disk
drives around. Recreate it as a 3 lpar machine. No existing disk drives
will be leaving the building.
Any reason why I need to "initialize" the drives in an lpar before
deleting it?
Or, is it a matter of simply deleting the lpars via the HMC, powering it
down and shifting stuff around to my hearts content?
