Rob,

Well I have not done this but the config pieces would logically all move together. There are some new objects with iSCSI that didn't exist with IXS IXA but what I would do is a SAVCFG and then on the target system a RSTCFG being SURE to specify ALWOBJDIF(*ALL)

Then either FTP over or tape restore the disk images. You may have to tweak the NWSD to use a different resource name because the iSCSI card likely will get a new resource name. The important stuff that glues the iSCSI cards together though is the MAC addresses of the cards and those won't change when you move them.

Should be a piece of cake.

Anyone move an iscsi card from an lpar on one machine to an lpar on a different machine, including data, configs, etc?

I tried opening a pmr with IBM on this. But the gent basically told me to RTFM and gave me a link to an old redbook that doesn't cover iSCSI, only ixa and ixs cards.
