i don't have my notes on the parm values, but i remember on a recent upgrade, i could hear the disk reallocating the storage for about 45 minutes, so i made sure not to ipl in the middle of it.

Subject: QLPALCSP - Upgrade to v5r4

Just planning my v5r4 upgrade (from v5r3) on our 520, and have run the

CALL PGM(QLPALCSP) PARM('V5R4M0' '0')

command as instructed (it's to allocate more storage space for the v5r4
LIC).

There is nothing following the running of this command in the joblog to
tell me that it will or won't need to allocate space. Will I see
anything in the history log during the next IPL to tell me it's run?
