Subject: Re: Date manipulation in CL

When I need to do something like this in CL I always convert the source
to CLLE and use the CEE date APIs (http://tinyurl.com/y27y6f). For your
example you would first use the CEELOCT API (http://tinyurl.com/g8b34)
to get the local time in Lilian days (*INT-4), Lilian seconds (*CHAR-8),
and the familiar Gregorian time-stamp (*CHAR-23). Then you would
subtract 14 days from the Lilian days field and convert it to a date
using the CEEDATE API (http://tinyurl.com/yz626v).

I have been searching google for some info on how to manipulate dates in
CL
but am coming up somewhat shorthanded. Specifically, I am looking to
extract the current system date, subtract a number of days to get a new
date
and then convert it to a string with the century..

Similar to the following:

Current system date: 10/26/2006

Subtract 14 days: 10/12/2006

Retrieve century: 06

Convert date: 20061012

I just have not been able to find much in the way of CL for this..any
helpful links?
