I think since it really only affects the newer systems and OS-es that
those types of folks are the types who do regular PTF maint - enough to
get it by March, anyway. And if they're running V3R2 or don't have
software maintenance, they're running at their own peril anyhoo. =)

Latest I've heard is that the ptf to fix it will be out in November.
There's something out now, but you do NOT want it. It's basically for a
small group of people that want to do some testing in advance of the new
rules for next year. Funky testing, because it involves a whole
different process. The test ptf creates new timezones and you have to
change to those.

You think this will affect all of those people who don't apply ptf's
because of the erroneous "if it ain't broke, don't fix it mentality"?
Most of them probably never read the ptf cover letters to see if they do
have something that is broke.

QTIMZON and 2007

As we go end the last US Daylight Saving Time under the current rules,
I'm wondering if the new rules for DST (second Sunday in March until
first Sunday in November) will be delivered by PTF, or if we have to
manually change the time zone descriptions?
