Greetings:

The term used in the FAQ for the subject on the US Naval Observatory Web
site is "Daylight Time".

        http://aa.usno.navy.mil/faq/docs/daylight_time.html

However, it might be noted that elsewhere on the same site the term
"Daylight Saving Time" is also used, e.g.

        http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/what1.html

As usual, the bureaucrats do it differently from everyone; the Cornell
University text of U.S. Code, Title 15, Chapter 6, Subchapter IX "Standard
Time" § 260a "Advancement of time or changeover dates" doesn't use any
form of "Daylight" at all, that I can find. It just says the "standard
time" changes....

Oh, it's real time. If I happened to be awake I could call at 3AM on
Christmas Day and get an operator. I've gotten calls from them at 1AM
in the past when there were issues with backups.

The service provider we use has a fair number of other iSeries
clients,
including other global companies. They themselves have multiple
facilities and teams of staff, not just a couple of individuals.

At least one of their technical staff monitors this list and replies
on
occasion.

Operations - 27x7 monitoring for system messages, tape handling,
backups
and offsite tape rotation, scheduled
procedures, some calls to IBM support (mostly for hardware issues
like
failed disks).

Is that real time or what Operations would have you believe... ;-)
