Option 50 only looks back from the last "significant" event.  Are you 
seeing ANY message?

If you are only seeing installation stuff for V5R3, then you screwed up. 
You must apply at least a cume after upgrading to V5R3.

If you are not seeing any messages then they could have been purged.
