Try using SNDTCPSPLF to your new system, similar to CPYSPLF but retains all information. I just setup programs to
transfer from V5R1 to V5R4.

Eric,

You are right, that should be the most simple way to do it. Nevertheless, I was
really searching for a method to save the spools to disk AND restoring it on
the new system. I was checking the spool's APIs, but it seems that there are
some differences between the two versions (V4R5 and V5R3), so I'm not very sure
how compatible would the data be.

(Wayne, thanks for your suggestion, but: I need to respect the original format and am afraid the CPYSPLF method does not allow this)
Thanks for your help,

Luis Rodriguez

Hi,

Does anyone know of any (free) utility for saving and restoring *SCS spool files between V4R5 and V5R3?
Thanks for your help,

Luis Rodriguez
