Adam,

Make sure that you contact all of the suppliers of third party software that
you may have
running on your machine to make sure that they have no issues with V5R4. More
than once
I've gotten calls from customer who failed to do that and our code was a
problem for them
after an upgrade. A simple call before the fact avoids all that.

Hi all,

I've been tasked with ensuring that there are no changes to system APIs
that will affect us when upgrading to V5R4. I've read through the
Memorandum to Users, and all seems to be well. I know that API changes
are not common - is reading the Memo sufficient to conclude that APIs have
not changed, or is there some other documentation I should consult?

Any other tips for making the upgrade smooth are welcome.

TIA,
Adam
