Sounds like some action is being logged during the IPL, possibly the start of the logging job itself.

Unfortunately, these files are not journalled. I thought of doing so to

journal them since I will have to get dedicated files in a 24/7 process?

We really don't want to journal some of these files because the are, for
the most part, log files and produce a large amount of I/O.

What does the journal on those files say?

Object changed during IPL

Does anyone know why native objects would get a changed date recorded
during IPL?

                       Display Object Description - Full

                                                                 Library
1 of 1
 Object . . . . . . . : PWZLOG Attribute . . . . . : PF

   Library . . . . . : WIZCOMPRD Owner . . . . . . . : QPGMR

 Library ASP device . : *SYSBAS Primary group . . . : *NONE

 Type . . . . . . . . : *FILE

 Change/Usage information:

   Change date/time . . . . . . . . . : 09/18/06 02:25:52

Each week during IPL a few native files get recorded as changed. I have
already reviewed the startup program and determined that it is not
changing them.

This issue cases negative reactions to occur in a change management
system. I hope it can be understood and resolved soon.

TIA, Ken Slaugh
