I've run into group PTF inventory problems before and support had me run a
command to delete the group info and let the system rebuild it (can't
remember when it rebuilt it... might have been on IPL). I'm sure they've
seen it before in Rochester... give 'em a call! They probably have a PTF
that will fix it... ;)

Never run into this particular problem myself. If you have a software
support contract with IBM that's who I'd be contacting if I were you.

I feel like I'm repeating myself here, but I've had so many flaky problems
like this with Fix Central that I switched to SNDPTFORD and have never had
a problem since.

Subject: WRKPTFGRP does not display correct levels

Has anyone seen this? I downloaded C6178530 through Fix Central and did
an image catalog install on my Prod system this weekend. DSPPTF 5722SS1
shows: TC06178 Temporarily applied. DSPPTF 5722999 shows: TL06178
  Temporarily applied. WRKPTFGRP shows:

  PTF Group Level Status
  SF99530 6142 Installed

According to iSeries Navigator, all PTF's on our Prod and Test systems
match, yet on the test system WRKPTFGRP shows:

  PTF Group Level Status
  SF99530 6178 Installed

Three additional groups don't match as well. PTF's on the Test system
were installed from CD's as the Fix Central package appeared to be
customized for our Prod system. Normally the Group levels show "Not
Installed" as soon as you order them. Is this "Working As Designed" for
  Fix Central?
