Re: How to map a network drive

Do you have the windows client installed on the PC?
Is your Windows server emulation turned on on the iSeries?
Is the folder in the IFS you want to share set for sharing and assigned
a share name?
Are you mapping to the correct url using the windows server emulation
name and the share name? eg  \\iserieswindowsname.xxx.xxx\share
and since your coming in thru VPN does your network admin have the
correct ports open between the vpn subnet and the subnet your iSeries is
on?  (this is one that had me stumped for a few days with doing VPN from
home)

That would be my input also.  The shares must be established with
OpsNav.

You can do a search computer by IP address to view what shares might be

enabled.
