Don, as Charles said, you use the MOUNT CL command to make an existing directory point at the remote server. There is all the info at infocenter, plus this link to the PDF for NFS on tiSeries:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/topic/books/sc415714.pdf

There's a chapter on security considerations. It appears that user names are not used, rather, something called UID (and GID) - which are mapped on the NFS server to users on that machine. See the PDF for details, and your network person might know more.

As for anonymous access, you can specify this access from only one hose, namely, your iSeries. This closes the holes a little. But the UID/GID stuff probably tightens it up all the way.

Good luck!

Thanks, Vernon. I'll download the file and see if I can make it work on my XP Pro machine. If so, then I'll try talking our administrator into installing it on the 2003 server.

Would you know where I would look on the iSeries to determine if it's working? Would it be QFileSvr.400, QNetWare, or something else?

Thanks.
