I just tested another idea.  F.T.P. does respect the OVRDBF command.  
Therefore, I can change the current library to anything, execute OVRDBF 
LSOUTPUT QTEMP/LSOUTPUT, and I'll get my LSOUTPUT file in QTEMP.

Don't know how it would compare in performance, but another idea that came 
to mind is to create one file with a new member, named based on the job 
name, in the same file for each job using the command if you go the CL 
route.
