Looking for modern "punch card" reader..

Don't laugh....this is a serious question.

Basically, I'm looking for a bar code scanner with an auto sheet/card
feeder.

We have a lot of 4x6 inch thermal printed cardstock with bar-coded
information on it.  Instead of manually scanning the data at the point
of use, I was asked if there was any type of automatic scanner that
could process the cards in batch; just like the old punch cards used to
be used.


Anybody familiar with such an animal?
