I agree. I sent Rene an old proof of concept that I wrote about 6 years ago that sort of illustrates that. It was all I could come up with, it was way too complex, and it didn't even use ODBC. It used FTP to transfer the data. Sheehs! For production, I certainly do recommend going with a reasonably priced 3rd party solution. RJS software has one. I've never used it, but they're straight-up folks, and their stuff works.
