Short answer: no.  The keyboards locks and that's it.  There is no keyword
that will force this event (an attempt to insert data into a full field, or
inserting a character in such a way that the field is full) to send data to
the host.

THAT'S RIGHT. The user cannot do anything at that point. That's what I am
trying to capture, and let the program take over.
