If you tell the Linux guy that the NFS share on the Linux side must be set up so that UID=0 and GID=0 (root user on Linux) (User ID, Group ID) is always used for anonymous access to the Linux NFS server, then the iSeries should be fine as long as you have mounted the NFS share.
