subject: Mailing a ZIP file programmatically from an AS/400

Ladies and Gentlemen, Geeks and Geekettes:

I'm now working on a project that will involve mailing out
a ZIP file containing a save file.

I have some fairly old, no-longer-functional code that
uses a demonstration class that shipped with JavaMail
(back when JavaMail was an add-on set of JARs, separate
from the JRE), but can anybody point me in the direction
of an example that uses something native to OS/400
(V4R4/V4R5) instead of JavaMail?

ZIPping the file shouldn't present a problem, since we not
only have ZLIB, but use it in some of our products.

I can, of course, deal with ILE RPG, ILE C, CL, or even MI
(not that I'm likely to see this sort of thing implemented
in MI, given that every mail-related API I've seen is
ILE).
